I graduated from UNLV in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Upon graduating I realized that I wanted to become a special education teacher. At the time, I had already worked as a paraprofessional in the KIDS program and had spent a year as a long term sub in a Primary Autism program, both at Nate Mack.. I starting teaching in the Primary Resource room in 2007 while completing the Alternative Route to Licensure program. In 2008 I received my Master's Degree in Special Education, and in 2009 I was awarded the Elementary SouthEast Region Distinguished Educator Award. I was lucky enough to be honored a second time as a Distinguished Educator for Performance Zone 10 in 2018. In 2019 I received my second master's degree with a focus on school counseling. I love being a part of the Nate Mack community and enjoy working with your children every day!
I have two boys that attend Nate Mack. I enjoy spending lots of time with them when I am not teaching. I also like to read, watch movies, and work on crafts/DIY projects.
